The World Trade Center in New York City (sometimes informally referred to as

the Twin Towers) was a complex of seven buildings in Lower Manhattan, mostly designed by American architect Minoru Yamasaki and developed by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
World Trade Center was the world's tallest building from 1972 to 1973.*
